Make the Most of Your Time in Uganda

Participants of our other event, the marathon, are always blown away with how much there is to see and do in Uganda. It’s the epitome of a hidden gem and we’re here to help you discover it!

We can put together tour packages for before / after the event using a local (tried and tested) tour company, and we can give you recommendations too. Please contact us on ellie@runningtheriftmarathon.com if you’d like to discuss your plans.

So Many Options

Uganda is famed for its Mountain Gorillas, so trekking with them is a serious bucket-list activity and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where they live, is stunning.

If giraffes and waterfalls tickle your fancy, head north to Murchison Falls National Park.

If cycling alongside zebras sounds like the dream (and believe us it is), Mburo National Park is for you.
Watersports? Jinja, to the East of Uganda, is where you need to be – white water rafting galore.

If you like trekking, then how does Africa’s tallest mountain range, the UNESCO Rwenzori Mountains, sound?
And last but so so far from least, is meeting chimpanzees up close and personal in Kibale National Forest. This is the best place to see primates in all of Africa and just an hour from Kyaninga Lodge.
